It's a place where modern architecture meets playful entertainment, creating a dynamic and engaging environment that appeals to everyone from fashion enthusiasts to anime lovers.

Getting there – where is DiverCity?

While DiverCity is a little way away from the city centre, riding the Yurikamome Line over the Rainbow Bridge to get there is an experience in itself.

  • Nearest station: The closest stations are Tokyo Teleport Station (東京テレポート駅) on the Rinkai Line and Daiba Station (台場駅) on the Yurikamome Line (around 5 minutes' walk from either station). You can also take the water bus from Hamarikyu or Asakusa.

  • By taxi: A taxi can drop you off directly in front of the main entrance to DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. Be aware that fares will be high, since Odaiba is outside the city centre.

  • Accessibility: The walk from both stations is flat and straightforward, with pedestrian bridges and walkways designed for easy access. The building itself is fully accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.

Opening hours & best time to visit

DiverCity Tokyo Plaza is typically open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM for retail stores and until 10:00 PM for the food court and restaurants. The Gundam statue is visible 24/7.

  • Best time to visit: Weekday mornings or afternoons are generally less crowded, allowing for a more relaxed shopping and exploring experience.

  • Time to avoid: Weekends and public holidays can be very busy, especially with families and tourists.

  • Pro tip: The Gundam statue has a short light and sound show at certain times of the day (check the official website for the exact schedule), making these a great time to visit. The evening shows are especially spectacular.

Reservations & admission

  • Reservations: No reservations are needed to visit DiverCity Tokyo Plaza.

  • Ticket/Admission Price: There is no admission fee to enter the shopping complex or view the Gundam statue. You will have to pay for admission to some of the entertainment venues or for services.

  • Payment Method: All major credit cards, as well as IC cards (like Suica or Pasmo), are widely accepted throughout the complex. Cash is also accepted.

What can you see & do in DiverCity?

DiverCity is a comprehensive entertainment complex with something for everyone, day or night and in any weather.

  • The Gundam Statue: Witness the impressive, 19.7-meter-tall statue of the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam. The light and sound show is a must-see for all fans.

  • Gundam Base Tokyo: Located within the complex, this shop is a pilgrimage site for Gundam fans, offering a huge selection of model kits and exclusive merchandise.

  • Shopping: Explore floors of retail shops, including popular Japanese brands, international fashion, and specialty stores.

  • Food Court: The Tokyo Gourmet Stadium offers a huge variety of casual dining options. There is also a number of restaurants and cafés catering to all tastes.

  • Entertainment: The top floor of the complex has a skate park and a bowling alley. The bowling alley gets very busy especially at the weekends and you may have to wait for a lane.

  • Unko Museum: A favourite among children but also surprisingly popular with young couples, this "museum" is dedicated to all things poo-related. Dive into a plastic-poo-filled ball pit, browse the poo supermarket, test your reflexes by catching a falling poo... you get the picture.

  • City Farm Barbecue Square: Rent a BBQ spot on the roof of DiverCity and grill with the family or friends! You are allowed to bring your own ingredients or buy one of the packages available.

  • Dance up and down the Rainbow Stairs: Set your Insta on fire with photos of the Rainbow Stairs, right beside the Gundam statue.
